My Days at the MS Society

I have decided to document my two years spent at the MS Society both as their Communications and Programs intern as well as their full-time Executive Coordinator.  This picture was taken at the 2008 Bike Tour with my fellow colleague and friend, Tara Bradshaw (Events Manager). It was a successful fundraiser for the Utah Chapter, raising over $1.6 million!!! This year we hope to raise over $1.8 million!!!! Personally, I am shooting for $2,000. To make your mark on MS please visit my website: teamtamera.com and click on the contribution link. Every dollar brings us closer to a world free of MS.

Rather than listing and labeling my photos; my brother David created a video that debuted at team tamera's first fundraiser. Check it out:

Memory by Patty Johnson

I remember going over to your house and exercising with your mom and Colette.  She would sit in her wheelchair and move her arms as we bounced around to Richard Simmon's "Sweatin to the oldies." I never knew your mom in good health, I wish I could have been her friend then as well. But I too felt her strong spirit. I was so impressed and touched by the gentleness and love your dad and you kids showed her. And Colette was great too.

I am forever grateful for the gospel and the certainty of being friends with your mom again. I know she cherished each of her children, and you will be in her arms again.

Memories of Tamera

(memory by) Aaron Rust:
Tamera Jones . . . she's the one who got me hooked on wheat bread. I was a white bread boy through and through and everytime I went to the Jones' to hang out with Parker--and I'm talking when I was 8 or 9--I was like "oh no . . . Parker's mom is going to give me wheat bread PBJ!" And this was like wheat wonder bread, not even some crazy 7 grain stone ground stuff or anything. But that humble beginning started me down the road to the crazy 7 grain stone ground bread lover I am today. Thanks Tamera!

Kickoff Meeting

The Fundraiser was a great success raising over $1,100 dollars with funds still coming in. To make a donation or check out the status of team tamera please check out curemsutah.org. If you have any stories or memories of my mother please visit teamtamera.com and e-mail me your stories. I am collecting memories of my mother for a future documentary of her. Thank you everyone for you support. It has been a beautiful and emotional journey thus far. I am excited for what the next six months will bring. I will keep everyone updated about my next fundraiser. Ideas are always welcomed!!!!
